Lincoln Square; W Bellevue

Location: Bellevue, Washington   Client: Kemper Development Company

Anchor 1

This is the next to last phase of the multi-decade Lincoln Square and Bellevue Square projects. Covering 2 city blocks, and incorporating the existing Bellevue Art Museum site, this 800,000-sf project consists of 225 residential units, a 175 key W hotel, a 225,000sf office building, 250,000 sf retail center including several restaurants, and 7 levels of below grade parking. The project also connects to the existing retail and hotels to the north and to the east via an active street level storefront, and a series of connecting bridges on the second floor. This protected connection helps ensure year-round pedestrian connectivity and creates an active environment for the 2nd and third floor retail spaces. The hotel and residential components share amenities and have direct access to the retail center and office building to create a vibrant mixed-use project that is active close to 24 hours a day. A close collaboration with HKS Hospitality Interiors led to the overall success of the project.

Tom Sprinkle was Design Principal for the Lincoln Square and W Bellevue project while at HKS Architects, Inc.
