This project covers a 3-block area of downtown San Jose and represents a significant expansion of the CBD. Designed for Trammel Crow Northern California, the project envisioned a mixed-use campus type complex incorporating over 800,000 sf in a vertical campus in two office buildings, 350 residential units and 125,000 sf of additional amenities, retail and restaurants specifically targeted to attract a single tenant tech user. The idea of including a substantial number of residential units with the development of the office component was a groundbreaking idea, and the team leaned heavily on the partnership developed with the City of San Jose planning departments and the mayor’s office.
